Surf-Jazz Meets Rock n’ Roll

“It’s a mix between Clapton, Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead — oh, and I love Nat King Cole too — so there’s this kind of push/pull between the whole rock-psychedelic-guitar hero thing and a more understated, cool-jazz vibe. Ideally, I’m trying to put all that combined energy, nuance, and beauty into each song, into each set, so that the listener can experience a full spectrum of emotions through the performance.”

After 10 years of gracing stages in New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, and Berlin, JPH has found a home for his sound on the beachy shores of Charleston, South Carolina. Playing a regular rotation of beach bars, breweries, and music clubs, he’s built a local reputation for his energetic, guitar-driven leads and his warm, jazzy singing voice. His new EP is set to be released in the spring of 2025.
